Salisbury Police reports

• A car was reported stolen from property in the 600 block of West Council Street sometime between 9:30 p.m. July 28 and 7:15 a.m. July 29.

• An assault was reported in the 600 block of Mocksville Avenue at 11:15 a.m. July 29.

• A cell phone was reportedly stolen from someone on Statesville Boulevard about 10 a.m. July 26.

• Vandalism was reported at a property in the 1600 block of Standish Street sometime between 2 and 2:40 p.m. July 29.

• A shoplifting theft valued at $2,000 from Old Navy on Faith Road was reported at 4:32 p.m. on July 29.

Rowan County Sheriff’s Office reports

• Police report that when officers went to serve a warrant for child support on Spring Meadow Drive in Woodleaf, the person jumped through the bathroom window to escape the deputies.

• A motor vehicle was reported stolen from a property on Miller Road in China Grove sometime between 7:37 a.m. and 2:46 p.m. July 24.

• A motor vehicle was reported stolen from a property on Candlewick Drive about 2:20 a.m. July 26.

• An attempted theft of a truck from a property on Henderson Grove Church Road was reported to have occurred between midnight and 7 a.m. July 26. 

• The theft of a well pump valued at $750 and damage to pvc pipes at a property on Woodleaf Barber Road, Cleveland, was reported to have occurred between midnight July 27 and 7 a.m. July 28.

• A report of credit card theft with a total loss value of $473 was reported to have occurred at a property on Yost Road between midnight July 27 and 4:11 p.m. July 28.

• An attempted burglary resulting in a broken window of a trailer on Zion Church Road, Gold Hill was reported at 7:32 p.m. July 28.

• Samuel Dwayne McKenzie 32, was arrested July 25 and charged with assault on a female.

• Lakara Samone McKenzie, 33, was arrested July 25 and charged with assault on a female.

• Brandon Kiyer McKenzie, 29, was arrested July 25 and charged with assault on a female.

• Larry Mac Helms, 47, was arrested July 25 and charged with larceny of a motor vehicle.

• Jessica Nicole Williams, 31, was arrested July 25 and charged with felony possession of schedule II controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and misdemeanor child abuse.

• Tiniya Michelle Stewart, 35, was arrested July 25 and charged with communicating threats.

• Steven Gregory Brown, 60, was arrested July 26 and charged with assault on a female.

• Kameron Scot Richardson, 18, was arrested July 26 and charged with reckless driving and speeding/exceeding the stated speed limit.

• Randy Lee Hopkins, 62, was arrested July 26 and charged with assault with a deadly weapon.

• Joseph Paul Howell Jr., 20, was arrested July 26 and charged with resist, obstruct or delay of an officer, larceny and violation of probation.

• Justin Derek Neal, 33, was arrested July 27 and charged with two counts of assault on a female and violation of a domestic violence order.

• Shelly Kay Knight, 39, was arrested July 29 and charged with possession of a stolen motor vehicle, possession of drug paraphernalia, simple possession of schedule III controlled substance, possession of schedule II controlled substance, simple possession of schedule IV controlled substance, and handicapped parking violation.

• Debora Woodall Brown, 46, was arrested July 28 and charged with simple assault.

• Holden Everett O’Brien, 33, was arrested July 28 and charged with driving while his license is revoked.
