Annual Democratic Fun Fest set for Saturday

The annual Democratic Fun Fest has been scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 10, at Shoaf’s Wagon Wheel, located at 151 Barn Dance Dr. in Salisbury, on Saturday, Aug. 10.

The event will include conversation, a potluck feast with drinks provided, a 50/50 raffle and speeches from Democratic candidates for local and state offices. Registered Democrats and unaffiliated voters are invited to attend.

The potluck lunch will begin at 1 p.m. and the candidate speeches are scheduled for 2 p.m.

The speakers will be U.S. House of Representatives District 6 candidate Anduin “Andy” Craighill-Middleton, N.C. Senate District 33 candidate Tangela “Lucy Horne” Morgan, N.C. House of Representatives District 76 candidate Alisha Byrd-Clark, N.C. House of Representatives District 83 candidate Joanne Chesley, Rowan-Salisbury Board of Education candidate Rebecca Childs and other candidates as available.
