Rowan County Sheriff’s Office reports

• An incident of littering or dumping of trash on U.S. Hwy. 601 was reported at 2:07 p.m. Aug. 6.

• A theft from a business on Gateway Drive in Mooresville reportedly occurred between midnight and 8 a.m. Aug. 1.

• A theft from property on Oak Breeze Drive in Mooresville reportedly occurred between 9 a.m. Aug. 3 and 8 p.m. Aug. 4.

• The glass in the rear window of a vehicle on Spring Meadow Drive, Woodleaf was reportedly damaged about 10 a.m. Aug. 6.

• A vehicle was reportedly stolen from a property on Mt. Hope Church Road on Aug. 5.

• A larceny from a property on Mooresville Road reportedly occurred around 7:30 p.m. Aug. 6.

• Jeffrey Warren Reed, 48, was arrested Aug. 6 and charged with possession of a weapon of mass destruction and possession of an explosive on school property and was held on a $10,000 bond. Reed and another person were stopped by deputies when leaving a house that deputies were to serve an eviction. When the two provided identification, it was discovered Reed had outstanding warrants. Reed was then asked to empty his pockets and a small explosive device was found in his pocket. No other devices or materials for bomb making were found on the property.

• Daniel Ray Kesler, 35, was arrested Aug. 6 and charged with first-degree trespassing.

• Aquisha Dominique Tolbert, 30, was arrested Aug. 6 and charged with second-degree trespassing, misdemeanor breaking and entering a building, injury to real property and violation of domestic violence act.

• Jason Wendell Malin, 44, was arrested Aug. 6 and charged with felony flee to elude, possession of up to 1/2 ounce of a schedule IV substance, aggressive driving and failure to stop at a stop light.

• Corey Allen Higgins, 33, was arrested Aug. 6 and charged with second-degree trespassing and larceny.

• Keith Ahmed, 42, was arrested Aug. 6 and charged with second-degree trespassing and misdemeanor larceny.
