Livingstone College, Catawba College, Hood Theological Seminary, Rowan-Cabarrus Community College and Downtown Salisbury host the annual College Night Out

SALISBURY — The annual “College Night Out” that welcomes students from Livingstone College, Catawba College, Hood Theological Seminary and Rowan-Cabarrus Community College for an evening of fun, games, music, food, and networking is scheduled for Aug. 22.

This year’s theme is “Retro Rewind: Dancin’ Through the Decades” according to an announcement from Downtown Salisbury, Inc. (DSI) and Downtown Development.

“College Night Out” is a free event designed to introduce local students to the vibrant downtown community and foster networking opportunities between educational institutions and over twenty local agencies. This year’s event promises an array of exciting activities including, music trivia, a dance contest, musical chairs, a DJ and much more.

The Thursday evening event runs from 5 – 8 p.m. Aug. 22 at Bell Tower Green park, 120 S. Church St., Salisbury.

The event is sponsored by the city of Salisbury, Rowan County Young Professionals, Novant Health, Visit Rowan County, Livingstone College, Hood Theological Seminary, Catawba College, and Rowan-Cabarrus Community College.
