Medication Take Back Week slated for Aug. 26-30

Those with old medication that needs to be disposed of have multiple locations and days to do so this month.

A Medication Take Back Week is scheduled for Aug. 26-30 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. providing opportunities to conveniently discard unneeded medications, which will then be properly disposed of.

There will also be giveaways during the week.

Dates and drop off locations are:

• Monday, Aug. 26 — Rowan County Sheriff’s Office, 102 N. Central Ave., Landis.

• Tuesday, Aug. 27 — Novant Health, Primary Care East Rowan, 316 W. Main St., Rockwell.

• Wednesday, Aug. 28 — in Salisbury, Moose Pharmacy, 1408 W. Innes St., Salisbury.

• Thursday, Aug. 29 — Novant Health, West Rowan Family Medicine, 335 School Court, Cleveland.

• Friday, Aug. 30 — Spencer Police Department, 460 S. Salisbury Ave., Spencer.

Partners in this program include Center for Prevention Services, Novant Health, Healthy Rowan, Spencer North Carolina, YSUP Rowan and Rowan County Public Health.
