LANDIS — A house fire in the 200 block of West Garden Street near North Zion Street has left five residents displaced, according to officials.

A small fire was reported just before 4 p.m. Tuesday. On arrival, firefighters reported flames were showing but the fire was under control in less than an hour. Red Cross helped displaced residents with housing needs, and no one was injured in the fire.

Landis was supported by mutual aid from China Grove, Bostian Heights, Mt. Mitchell, Kannapolis and Atwell fire departments.
