Latest edition of Salisbury Magazine is available

The September 2024 Salisbury the Magazine has rolled out and has hit the stands featuring a story about some special tractors made from recycled materials.
In the story “Tractor factor: Danny McGraw Jr. turns old sewing machines into recycled art” by Maggie Blackwell tells about the tractors McGraw has built from old sewing machines and additional collected items for his own enjoyment. Check out the photos by Duane Duvall of these pieces of recycled art.
Learn about the various programs and classes offered at Art & Soul Rowan on Harrison Street and those who both lead and enjoy them in a story by Donna Prunkl, entitled “Art & Soul Rowan: Center for Faith and the Arts goes through transformation.” A number of submitted photos highlighting the classes accompany the story.
In a third story, “Catawba Classic: Annual golf tournament raises funds for college” by Brenda Zimmerman and photos by Sean Meyers, shares how the tournament has grown through the years and those who have been a part of it and helped to make it a success.
Plus, don’t miss the recurring features that are included such as Rowan Original by Maggie Blackwell providing the reader an opportunity to learn about Mary and Will James in a story entitled “Global Citizens,” with photography by Sean Meyers; Blackwell’s Editors Letter titled “The end of summer is upon us;” Bookish by Brenda Zimmerman as she shares about “The Lions of Fifth Avenue” and check out the Through the Lens photo by David Powell.
