GRANITE QUARRY — East Rowan won its first match of the season on Thursday, beating Robinson 6-2.

Jaylen Jones, Katelyn Overcash, Mady Morris and Caroline Quick won singles matches.

Jones/Overcash and Morris/Quick were winning doubles teams.

SPENCER — West Rowan breezed to a 9-0 non-conference win against North Rowan on Thursday.

Autumn Yount, Emma Crider, Laney Moore, Olyvia Brown, Ally Suggs and Laney Moore were singles winners.

Yount/Crider, Regan Eggers/Finley Wassenhove and Justice Willis/Laney Moore were winning doubles teams.

The most competitive match was at No. 2 doubles where North’s Katelyn Smith/Brianna Ortiz lost 8-3.
