CLEVELAND — Pickleball enthusiasts in western Rowan County will have a new destination to play their favorite sport in short time.
The town of Cleveland announced on Thursday that the new pickleball courts are currently under construction at Cleveland Town Park. The park is located at 300 Clement Street in Cleveland.
“Great news,” the town said in a post on Facebook. “We’ve heard your requests and are thrilled to announce that our brand-new pickleball courts are currently under construction! There will be 4 new courts.”
Town officials encouraged guests to avoid the construction zone until it was completed.
“The town of Cleveland will not be liable for any injuries occurring in this area,” the post said.
Once the courts are ready, an update is expected on the town’s social media pages.
