Smith letter correctly warns against price controls

Thank You, Ronnie Smith for your Aug. 27 letter to the editor, entitled “Price controls can be disastrous.” You nailed it! I could not agree more. I cannot wait to vote.

“Take back America.”

Candidate sympathy

One quality that candidates for office need to show is sympathy to family members whose relatives have been killed.

  Two examples are relevant:

  1. Thirteen brave U.S. soldiers were killed at Abbey Gate in Afghanistan when we did a chaotic withdrawal. Donald J. Trump went to the Arlington National Cemetery for the Memorial Service. Kamala Harris did not.
  1. Jocelyn Nungaray, a 12-year-old Houston girl, was strangled to death by two illegal immigrants from Venezuela. Trump was with family members when he went to our southern border. Kamala Harris did not go there. But, she hasn’t gone to Europe either.

   So, who showed sympathy?
