SALISBURY — Partners In Learning is thrilled to announce its 8th Annual Special Needs Fashion Show, an empowering event celebrating the unique personalities of individuals with special needs. This highly anticipated fashion show will take place on Sept. 6 at 6:30 p.m. at Partners In Learning at the Woods in the SECU Clinical and Family Services wing.

“This fashion show is a testament to the resilience, courage, and beauty of our children with special needs,” Partners In Learning Executive Director Norma Honeycutt said. “It’s a platform for them to express themselves, build confidence and inspire others. We hope you’ll be there to cheer them on.”

The annual theme, “Just As I Am,” highlights each participant’s individuality and self-expression. The event will feature a diverse group of models with special needs, showcasing a variety of stylish outfits and accessories.

“We are incredibly excited to host our 8th Annual Special Needs Fashion Show,” said Amy Vestal, development director at Partners In Learning. “This event is an incredible opportunity for our community to come together and celebrate the unique abilities and talents of individuals with special needs. We believe everyone deserves to feel confident and beautiful, and this fashion show is a powerful reminder of that.”

Tickets to the Special Needs Fashion Show are available on its website. Attendees will enjoy an inspiring evening of fashion, music and entertainment while supporting an important cause. Partners in Learning is a non-profit organization that provides educational and therapeutic services to individuals with special needs.

Proceeds from the fashion show will benefit Dr. Shirley P. Ritchie Scholarship Fund, ensuring families have access to affordable and evidenced-based programs and services.

“Your donation today has the power to transform lives,” Vestal said. “Together, we can unlock opportunities and create a brighter future for these incredible children. Thanks to a generous matching donor, your gift will be doubled, up to $10,000. Please join us in making a lifelong difference.”

Honeycutt added, “We are excited to announce that this year’s Just As I Am Fashion Show will be hosted by none other than Salisbury’s own, Jonathan Wallace. A familiar face in the community, Jonathan is celebrated for his numerous performances in movies, commercials, and locally with Lee St. theatre and the Historic Salisbury Foundation. As a parent of Partners In Learning, this cause is especially close to his heart. Jonathan’s charisma and passion are sure to make this year’s event an unforgettable one. You don’t want to miss out on a night of fashion, fun and fundraising.”

In it release, Partners In Learning thanked its many sponsors for supporting this year’s Just As I Am Fashion Show.

“Community sponsorship of this event fuels our ability to support and uplift children with special needs,” Committee Chair Joan Correll said. “Every contribution helps provide essential services and fosters a culture of inclusion and compassion. In a close-knit community, these acts of generosity create ripples of positive change, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to shine and reach their full potential.”

In addition to the fashion show, there will be an online silent auction, where people can bid on multiple items, including a private escape to a lakefront cottage, personal styling by TikTok celebrity Jenna from 3 Jems Boutique, a downtown shopping spree and a fun family package among other options.

Support Partners in Learning and take home unique treasures, from exclusive experiences to one-of-a-kind artwork. Your bids will make a real difference in the lives of individuals with special needs.
