High school volleyball roundup: Hornets get CCC win on Tuesday

DENTON — Kendall Henderson had 13 kills as Salisbury swept South Davidson on Tuesday in Central Carolina Conference volleyball.

The Hornets (2-3 2-1) got 12 kills from Ava Morris and 10 from Carmen McQueen in a 25-20, 25-15 and 25-11 victory.

Ashley Yang had 37 assists, 11 digs and three aces.

Kylaih Pearson-Hasty had 10 digs and keyed serve receive. Addie Myers had nine digs.

HUNTERSVILLE — Lake Norman Charter beat East Rowan 25-21, 25-5 and 25-14 in South Piedmont Conference action on Tuesday.

The Mustangs (11-5, 4-2) got nine kills from Alli Corl.

Camerron Ostle and Jordan Dry had nine digs each.

Jacee Eudy had 17 assists.

MOUNT ULLA — West Rowan swept Central Cabarrus 25-11, 25-13 and 25-16 for its fourth straight victory.

Lydia Wilson had 12 kills and 10 digs for the Falcons.

Sophia Blackledge had five aces and 13 digs.

Lainey Sweet had 10 digs.

Brinley Hiatt and Neely Hiatt combined for 35 assists.

North Rowan put up a fight in the third set (24-26) but was swept on Tuesday by CCC opponent East Davidson.
