WALLACE — Chris Owen shot 5-over 77 on Saturday at River Landing, not a great day for him with only two birdies, but good enough to make the cut at the 31st North Carolina Mid-Amateur.

Owen shot 74 on Friday and is at 151, tied for 41st, heading into Sunday’s final round. He’ll tee off shortly before 9 a.m.

The cut line fell at 153.

William Little, who qualified along with Owen at Warrior for the Mid-Amateur, shot 81-83 and did not make the cut.
