Credit to road workers

Credit should be given where credit is due. The stretch of Organ Church Road between N.C. Hwy. 152 and Old Beatty Ford Road was, in my opinion, amongst the worst washboard, shock absorber-destroying highways in Rowan County. It was recently repaired and repaved by the state road crews. Smooth as glass now and a pleasure to drive on. Well done to all the hard workers that made it possible and that labored on some of the hottest days of the summer.

Conservative has doubts

I have love and respect for Father Rippinger and have read his thoughts. Both political parties are hugely disappointing. Right now it feels like a choice between status quo and chaos. Trump did many good things in his four years. Yes, our supposedly independent government institutions are apparently taking sides.

I want to vote as a conservative. But I also want to vote to keep my right to vote. Is there someone out there who can vouch for President Trump and promise he will see himself also as a defender of the Constitution?  If General H.R. McMaster has doubts about his previous employer Trump, I too am worried.
