High school volleyball roundup: Rowan teams busy on Monday

CONCORD — Cameron Ostle had 22 kills to lead East Rowan to a 25-15, 25-16 and 25-10 South Piedmont Conference win at Robinson on Monday.

The Mustangs (12-6, 5-3) got 12 kills from Alli Corl and six aces from Madalynn Tigert.

Tigert had 17 digs, while Ostle had 12.

Jacee Eudy had 26 assists. Seelay Adams had 11.

HUNTERSVILLE – London Stewart had 10 kills as Lake Norman Charter swept South Rowan 25-20, 25-19 and 25-15 in South Piedmont Conference action on Monday.

The Knights got 26 assists from Riley Caruso and stayed undefeated in the league.

South (7-4, 5-3) had only 16 kills, with Meredith Faw getting eight. Laney Beaver had four.

Campbell Withers had 15 digs, while Meghan Eagle had 13.

Raegan Shell had eight assists.

The Raiders are in a tough part of their schedule and have lost four straight.

West Rowan (5-6) was swept at Cox Mill in a non-conference matchup  on Monday.The Falcons lost 25-23, 25-16 and 25-16 to the Chargers. West will take on South on Wednesday.

Carson (12-4, 7-0) continued to roll and swept Northwest Cabarrus on Monday for another SPC win. The Cougars are still undefeated in the league and they’ll  play a big match at Lake Norman Charter on Wednesday.

MOORESVILLE — Salisbury lost  25-22, 16-25, 25-19 and 25-14 at Pine Lake Prep in Monday’s non-conference matchup.

Ava Morris had 11 kills for the Hornets, while Ashley Yang had seven.

Yang had 20 assists. Carmen McQueen had three blocks. Dayami Acevedo had four aces.

Yang and Acevedo had 14 digs each. Addie Myers had 12, while Kyliah Pearson-Hasty had 11.
