MOUNT ULLA — West Rowan won 7-2 against South Rowan on Wednesday in South Piedmont Conference tennis.

South had singles wins at 2 and 5. West’s Emma Crider and Ally Suggs lost those matches, but they teamed for a victory at No. 2 doubles.

Autumn Yount, Olyvia Brown, Lucy Moore and Laney Moore won singles matches for the Falcons (8-2, 6-2).

Yount/Brown and the Moores won doubles matches.

Lake Norman Charter is still undefeated in the SPC.

West is in the battle for second place, along with Concord and Northwest Cabarrus.

West  lost 5-4 to Concord in their first meeting. West still has two matches to play against Northwest Cabarrus.
