LANDIS — A.L. Brown’s jayvee football team won 43-6 at South Rowan on Thursday.

Jeremiah Christopher returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown for the Wonders (3-0).

Ashton Chavis scored two rushing touchdowns. Dhilyn Hollis and Lamar Grier had rushing TDs.

Luke Wallace threw a touchdown pass to Nate Cannon.

The Wonders led only 7-0 after a quarter but expanded the lead to 29-0 at halftime.

Brooks Hunter, South’s quarterback, had a TD run.

Jeb Rtchie had a fumble recovery. Dalton Mullis had an interception.

Jack Garmon had four receptions for the Raiders (1-1).

Caleb Stirewalt did a good job punting.

It was a quiet jayvee night, as East Rowan, West Rowan and Carson are open this week.

TW Andrews doesn’t have a jayvee team, so North Rowan didn’t have a game.

Person has a jayvee team, but with the varsity teams playing on Thursday, there was no jayvee game. The Hornets may be able to reschedule.
