SALISBURY — Life Choices Rowan has announced that Kevin Sorbo will be the guest speaker for the Life Choices Rowan 38th annual fundraising gala. 

The Life Choices Rowan Gala, themed Denim and Diamonds, works to bring together families, neighbors, community members and supporters to advance its cause in Rowan County. After his recovery from the strokes and working on TV series “Andromeda,” the author of “True Strength: My Journey from Hercules to Mere Mortal and How Nearly Dying Saved My Life” and co-author of “True Faith, Embracing Adversity to Live in God’s Light,” with his wife, Sam, spent the next few decades working on movies such as “God’s Not Dead,” “Soul Surfer,” “Let There Be Light,” and “Left Behind: Rise of the Antichrist.”

Since 1997, Kevin has led “A World Fit for Kids,” a mentoring model that trains inner-city teens to use school, fitness, sports and positive role models for themselves.

Sorbo resides in Florida with his wife, Sam, and three children.
