ROWAN COUNTY — The Rowan Young Professionals, a program of the Rowan Chamber, announced the return of its monthly networking series, Coffee & Conversations. Running from September through May on the third Wednesday of each month, this series offers young professionals the chance to connect, collaborate and build meaningful relationships at different locations throughout Rowan County.

Each month, the series will rotate among local coffee shops allowing attendees to experience the vibrant coffee culture in our community.

“This season is going to be especially exciting as we branch out to new locations like Juice Life in Salisbury, Beauty & the Bean in the Town of Faith, and French Express in Granite Quarry,” said Kyler Eagle, Rowan Young Professionals events committee chair. “We’re also looking forward to returning to longtime favorites like Mean Mug and Koco Java in Salisbury. It’s a great way to support local businesses while providing fresh networking opportunities each month.”

2024/2025 schedule:

  • Sept. 18 – Mean Mug on West Innes
  • Oct. 16 – Koco Java
  • Nov. 20 – Beauty & the Bean
  • Dec. 18 – Juice Life
  • Jan. 15 – French Express in Granite Quarry
  • Feb. 19 – Mean Mug on West Innes
  • Mar. 19 – Koco Java
  • Apr. 16 – Beauty & the Bean
  • May 21 – Juice Life

This year, the series adopted a new time, running from 7:30-9 a.m., to better accommodate young professionals who live and work in Rowan County.

“This series is perfect for young professionals on the go who might not always have the flexibility to attend evening events due to family or other commitments,” said Mollie Ruf, Rowan Young Professionals chair. “We’ve expanded the time to start 30 minutes earlier to accommodate those who need to get to work on time, and we hope this change will create more opportunities for young pros to get involved and connect with our community.”

Rowan Chamber membership is not required to participate. Those interested are encouraged to register in advance on Eventbrite. Attendance is free; simply pay for your own food and drinks at each location.

The series aims to support local businesses and offers a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere where young professionals can engage in meaningful conversations. All are invited to drop in for coffee, connect with peers and start the day inspired.
