Wind advisory issued for central North Carolina until 2 a.m. Tuesday

The National Weather Service issued a wind advisory at 9:37 a.m. on Monday valid from 2 p.m. until Tuesday 2 a.m. The advisory is for Rowan, Gaston, Mecklenburg, Cabarrus, Union, York and Chester counties.
The NWS adds, “North winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 to 45 mph expected.”
“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result,” says the NWS. “Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
