SALISBURY — Hines Busby, Fletcher Busby and David Austin scored for Salisbury in a 3-1 Central Carolina Conference win against Lexington on Wednesday.

Fletcher Busby had his second game-winner of the week for the unbeaten Hornets (12-0-3, 5-0). He also had an assist.

“Despite a strong start (two goals in the first eight minutes), I wasn’t overwhelmed by our performance,” Salisbury coach Matt Parrish said. “I think we got a bit complacent, and we let Lexington back into the match. We talked to the guys about taking every team’s best shot, every night of the week, and how to stay focused on improving as a team. I’m really proud of Fletcher Busby. I don’t think any player has had higher expectations placed on him, or had to endure so much of my angst, but he has clearly turned a corner and is producing on a high level.”

Salisbury is scheduled to play at Gray Stone on Monday afternoon at 4:30 p.m.

TYRO — Kaleb Peeler and Ayden Brown scored to lead West Davidson to a 2-1 CCC win against North Rowan on Wednesday.

East Rowan fell 5-3 at West Stanly in a non-conference match on Wednesday.
