Strong-arm robbery at local gas station
Circle K on Statesville Boulevard was robbed Sept. 25 according to Salisbury police. The clerk reported that around 4 a.m., a man wearing all black entered the business and paced near the counter until the last customer left. The suspect then walked behind the counter, pushing the clerk out of his way so he could start stealing Newport cigarettes. The suspect left in an unknown direction. No serious injuries were reported.
Salisbury Police reports
• Property damage at Old Carolina Brick on Majolica Road reportedly occurred between 4:30 p.m. Sept. 24 and 7:30 a.m. Sept. 25.
• A larceny of automobile accessories from Penske Truck Leasing on Industrial Avenue reportedly occurred between 10:39 p.m. Sept. 24 and 6 a.m. Sept. 25. Total estimated loss was $800.
• A larceny from a property on Jake Alexander Boulevard West reportedly occurred about 11:15 a.m. Sept. 25. Total estimated loss was $800.
• A larceny from a motor vehicle on East Lafayette Street reportedly occurred between 6:20 and 7:35 p.m. Sept. 25. Total estimated loss was $581.
• Rodney James Trembley, 52, was arrested Sept. 25 and charged with possession of a schedule II controlled substance.
• Issiah Joseph Martins, 20, was arrested Sept. 25 and charged with misdemeanor simple assault.
Rowan County Sheriff’s Office reports
• Larceny – all other was reported at Peach Orchard Road, between 8:15 and 8:46 p.m. on Sept. 24.
• On Sept. 24, Rowan County Sheriff’s Office deputies investigated a larceny at the 200 block of Peach Orchard Road.
• Leslye Hernandez-Graveran, 34, was arrested Sept. 24 and charged with speeding, possession of drug paraphernalia, maintaining a dwelling or vehicle for controlled substance and trafficking in cocaine.
• Darron Scott Mills, 26, was arrested Sept. 24 and charged with violation of probation and misdemeanor escape from local jail. He was held on a $50,000 bond,
• Luz Hernandez Ferguson, 47, was arrested Sept. 24 and charged with possession with intent to seel, manufacture or distribute a schedule II controlled substance, maintaining a dwelling or vehicle for controlled substance, three counts of possession with intent to sell, manufacture or distribute a schedule II controlled substance and tracking in methamphetamine.
• Kristine Lynn Hardy, 62, was arrested Sept. 24 and charged with misdemeanor larceny and possession of stolen goods.
• Distin James Davis, 31, was arrested Sept. 24 and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
• Christopher Shane Hargett, 35, was arrested Sept. 24 and charged with possession of a schedule II controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance on a penal institution premises.
