Man removes ankle monitor, gets arrested
A Salisbury man was arrested after he allegedly cut off an ankle monitoring device at a local business on North Main Street on Sept. 24. Dustin Lee Blanken, 36, was charged with tampering/interfering with an electronic monitoring device, second-degree trespassing and resist, obstruct or delay of an officer. He was given a $10,000 bond and a court date of Oct. 24.

• Dontay Demetric Sturdivant, 37, was arrested Sept. 25 and charged with two counts of sale or delivery of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of school property, possession of a schedule I controlled substance with intent to manufacture, sell, distribute or manufacture, two counts of maintaining a dwelling or vehicle for controlled substance and four counts of trafficking in opium or heroin.
• Cedric Dewayne Francis, 48, was arrested Sept. 25 and charged with simple possession of a schedule II controlled substance and possession of a stolen firearm by a felon.
• Larry Michael Rollins Jr., 54, was arrested Sept. 25 and charged with possession of a schedule II controlled substance with intent to sell, manufacture or distribute, possession of a schedule IV controlled substance, and sale or delivery of a schedule II controlled substance.
• Michael Ellis White, 39, was arrested Sept. 25 and charged with the sale or delivery of schedule II controlled substance.
• Edward Tucker, 35, was arrested Sept. 25 and charged with communicating threats.
• Maranda Lynn Stevens, 39, was arrested Sept. 25 and charged with misdemeanor larceny.
• Trayqwan Qwalik Marshall, 31, maintaining a dwelling or vehicle for controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, general misdemeanor child abuse, no operator license, license plate frame/cover violation, trafficking in methamphetamine.
• William Zachary, 37, was arrested Sept. 25 and charged with contempt of court/violation of orders of court.
• Devlyn Issac Gilbert, 20, was arrested Sept. 25 and charged with failure to appear and shoplifting.
