Saturday, Sep 28 update from the National Hurricane Center: Latest on Tropical Storm Joyce

On Saturday at 4 am, the National Hurricane Center issued an advisory stating that Tropical Storm Joyce is 1165 miles east of the Northern Leeward Islands, with maximum sustained wind of 50 mph. It’s moving 10 mph to the northwest.

“A slow turn toward the northwest and north is forecast Sunday night and Monday.” meteorologists observed. “Little change in strength is expected today.” They also said “Weakening is forecast to begin tonight or on Sunday, and Joyce could degenerate into a remnant low by early Tuesday.”

The National Hurricane Center released the first advisory for a tropical storm at 10 am yesterday (Friday).
