The National Hurricane Center’s 4 pm Monday advisory reported that Tropical Depression Joyce is 970 miles east-northeast of the Northern Leeward Islands, with maximum sustained wind of 35 mph. It’s moving 2 mph to the north.

“Some weakening is forecast during the next 48 hours, and Joyce should become a remnant low soon.” forecasters wrote.

YESTERDAY (Sunday):

Yesterday, Joyce lost strength and was downgraded from a tropical storm to a tropical depression with sustained winds of 35 miles per hour.
