SALISBURY — Salisbury Indivisible will partner with Women for Community Justice and the Salisbury-Rowan NAACP to host a public forum for candidates running for the Rowan-Salisbury School System Board of Education. The sponsoring organizations are non-partisan.
The forum is set for Oct. 7 at 6.30 p.m. in the Stanback Room of Rowan Public Library, located at 201 W. Fisher St. in Salisbury, and is free and open to the public.
“We felt it was important for voters to have the opportunity to learn about the candidates for school board from the candidates themselves,” said Laurel Harry, a co-facilitator of Salisbury Indivisible. “At this forum, voters can hear the candidates’ platforms and their vision for Salisbury Rowan School District.”
The forum will be moderated by Jason Walser; Brian Pfaff will act as time-keeper.
Early voting begins on Oct. 17.
