CHINA GROVE — Carson High School’s JV cheerleading team wants to aid those who have been impacted by Hurricane Helene and they’re asking for your help.
On Thursday, Oct. 3, the cheerleading team will be holding a “Fill the Box Truck” drive at the football game from 5:30-7:30 p.m.
“This is in efforts to collect needed items for those affected by Hurricane Helene,” coach Emily Marohn said in an email to the Salisbury Post on Tuesday.
The requested items include: water, sports and hydration packets, baby wipes, diapers, formula, non-perishable food items, bug spray, sunscreen, plastic utensils, manual can openers, trash bags, toothbrushes, toothpaste, cleaning supplies, pet food, sanitizer, feminine hygiene products, toiletries, tarps, new socks, clothing and shoes.
The drop off location is the Carson High School softball field, located at 290 Kress Venture Drive, China Grove.
