SALISBURY — Salisbury’s City Lake Park will be lit up on Friday, Oct. 4 as the Annual Lights of Love luminaries will be placed around the lake.

This is an annual fundraiser for the Humane Society of Rowan County with luminaries placed in honor or memory of either a person or animal.

The lights can be seen beginning at dusk until 9:30 p.m. on Friday, and Jane Hartness, president of the local humane society, encourages people to drive by and see them.

In the event of rain, she said that the event would be held on Saturday.
