On Tuesday at 4 pm, the National Hurricane Center issued an advisory stating that Category 1 Hurricane Leslie is 1490 miles west-northwest of the Southernmost Cabo Verde Islands, with maximum sustained wind of 75 mph. It’s moving at 14 mph to the northwest.
“Little change in strength is expected through Wednesday night.” meteorologists observed. “Weakening is expected to begin Thursday.”
There were several developments today: Leslie changed first into a tropical storm and then into a Category 1 hurricane with sustained winds of 75 mph.
