High school football: Shrine Bowl team selected

The 44-man rosters for the Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas were announced on Sunday.

The nation’s oldest high school all-star game benefits the Shriners hospitals. This year’s game will be played on Dec. 21 at Spartanburg High School with a 1 p.m. kickoff.

The head coach of the North Carolina team is Scotland’s Richard Bailey.

The North team includes A.L. Brown lineman Tai Buster, an Auburn recruit. Robinson receiver Brian Rowe made the team. Mooresville placed two on the squad — linebacker Jamari Farmer and defensive back AJ Graham.
