SALISBURY — The Rowan Chamber of Commerce announced that John Barker Jr., president and chief development officer of Red Rock Developments, will be the featured speaker at the upcoming Power In Partnership (PIP) breakfast on Thursday, Oct. 17, at 7:30 a.m.

The event will be held at Trinity Oaks, located at 728 Klumac Road.

Red Rock Developments is spearheading a highly anticipated commercial project just off I-85 on Long Ferry Road. Barker will discuss why Red Rock chose Rowan County for this major development and share insights on the company’s optimistic vision for the future of the community.

As president and chief development officer, Barker leads the overall development strategy for Red Rock. His primary focus is to oversee and manage the procurement for all developments from ground up, construction, leasing and selling. Throughout his career, Barker has completed millions of square feet of development-related projects. Some of his past clients include PVH, Inc. GXO, JM Smuckers, TTI, Duracell, Coca-Cola and Visual Comfort.

The Power in Partnership breakfast series offers attendees the opportunity to enjoy a delicious breakfast while engaging in valuable networking, learning from industry leaders and discussing the latest trends and challenges facing the community. The 2024-25 PIP season will feature top North Carolina elected officials and business leaders. The upcoming PIP dates are: Nov. 21, Dec. 19, Jan. 16, Feb. 20, March 20, April 17 and May 15.
