CONCORD – Robinson’s football squad won’t be invited back to Mount Ulla as a homecoming guest.

Not for 50 years or so.

The Bulldogs crushed the Falcons 48-7 in Friday’s South Piedmont Conference game. West hoped to be competitive with the undefeated juggernaut, but Robinson (7-0, 5-0) did the same thing to the Falcons on both sides of the ball that it’s done to everyone else on its schedule so far.

Robinson averages 44 points per game.

“Their defense is special,” West head coach Louis Kraft said. “Their o-line is solid. Their back was the best we’ve seen, and that wideout is just different.”

LJ Watson rushed for 90 yards and three TDs on 12 carries for the Bulldogs. That wideout who is different than just about everyone else at the high school level is Brian Rowe. The Shrine Bowl pick had two touchdown catches.

West netted 9 rushing yards.

Brant Graham had some success in the air, throwing for 137 yards with nine completions on 20 attempts. Evan Kennedy had three catches for 67 yards.

Jaylen Neely scored the West touchdown on a 12-yard run.

South Rowan is next in line for Robinson. West (3-4, 2-2) will play Central Cabarrus. West can still finish the regular season 6-4. The Falcons also have games left with Concord and East Rowan.
