Rowan-Cabarrus Community College to host inaugural Fall Fest Live

SALISBURY — Rowan-Cabarrus Community College will be hosting a night of free, family-friendly fun at Fall Fest Live on Oct. 24 at the newly opened North Campus Amphitheater in Salisbury.

This inaugural event will include free, fun activities for all ages, including a concert featuring The Voice finalist Josh Sanders, inflatables, food trucks, a children’s costume contest, a shoe parade and a campus-wide candy crawl.

“We are thrilled to invite the community to join us for Fall Fest Live at our newly opened North Campus Amphitheater,” said Dr. Carol S. Spalding, president of Rowan-Cabarrus Community College. “This family-friendly event provides free entertainment for all and a wonderful opportunity to learn more about the college.”

Starting at 5:30 p.m., the college’s North Campus, 1333 Jake Alexander Boulevard South, Salisbury, buildings will be open for the Campus Candy Crawl, offering a fun and interactive way for attendees of all ages to take a behind-the-scenes look at career paths, hands-on learning opportunities and state-of-the-art facilities. The Campus Candy Crawl is the perfect way to discover everything that Rowan-Cabarrus has to offer.

Fall Fest Live will feature a variety of family-friendly activities, including a children’s costume contest, shoe parade, pumpkin decorating, inflatables and more. The event offers something for all ages, with contests and entertainment throughout the evening. Participants are encouraged to arrive early, with costume contest and shoe parade entries due by 6 p.m.

Food trucks will be on-site with options available for purchase, including Astrodogs, Funnel Vision, King of Fire Pizza, Kona Ice, Kreyol Flavors and Rollicious Ribs & More. Currently enrolled students who attend the event should check in at the Student Life & Leadership table to take advantage of many giveaways.

The evening will also feature a live performance by Sanders, who is a Kannapolis native, beginning at 7 p.m. Sanders has performed at the 2024 Duke’s Mayo Bowl at Bank of America Stadium and Atrium Ballpark in Kannapolis. This performance at the college’s Fall Fest Live will be the first live entertainment event at the Rowan-Cabarrus North Campus Amphitheater. General admission seating will be available, so be sure to bring a lawn chair or blanket.
