GRANITE QUARRY — Jaxon Lyons rushed for 209 yards in East Rowan’s 27-14 jayvee football win against South Rowan on Thursday.
Lyons, Colin Quick and Gavin Loftis had rushing TDs for the Mustangs (5-4).
Julian Cauble threw a 38-yard touchdown pass to Kyle Gillespie.
Gillespie also had an interception. CJ Macon had several pass breakups.
Nic Woolf had a TD run for the Raiders (1-7).
Brooks Hunter threw a TD pass to Korbin Childers.
Childers had an interception. Caleb Collins recovered a fumble. Caleb Stirewalt kicked two PATs.

MOORESVILLE — A.L. Brown scored on the last play of the game to beat Mooresville 15-12 on Thursday in a game that decided the Greater Metro Conference jayvee championship.
AJ Settles threw a touchdown pass to Ashton Chavis on the final snap. He made the catch in some traffic in the end zone.
Chavis also scored the first TD for the Wonders.
A.L. Brown (9-0) got a safety with 30 seconds left to trail 12-9.
The Blue Devils are 6-3.

CONCORD — West Rowan won 36-12 against Concord in Thursday’s jayvee football game.
Jalen Moten scored three rushing TDs for the Falcons.
Carlos Phillips had a rushing TD, while Aiden Sechler caught a TD pass.
Moten, Landon Ryerson and Devaunh White ran for 2-point conversions.
Iziaih Hairston and Drew Taylor were defensive standouts for the Falcons (5-4).
Concord is 2-7.

SPENCER — Tristen Brown threw four touchdown passes as North Rowan beat Lexington 36-18 in JV football on Thursday.
Shawn Boyd, KJ Robinson, Carter Williams and EJ Fair had TD catches.
Anton Pontoon had a pick-six for the Cavaliers (2-4).
Lexington is 2-7.

CONCORD — Carson won 22-14 against Central Cabarrus in Thursday’s jayvee football action.
Colin Masingo had two rushing TDs.
Eli Covington had a punt return TD for the Cougars (5-3).
Laz Smith ran for two 2-point conversions.
Konnor Karriker had an interception.
Sedrick Wallace, Logan Delk and Garreck Barnes stood out on defense for the Cougars.
