College women’s basketball: Rymer scores 27 in opener

ROCK HILL, S.C. – Bethany Rymer (South Rowan) scored 27 points in Columbia International University’s first game of the basketball season on Friday.

Columbia International lost 78-65 to Clinton College despite Rymer’s big outing.

The 5-foot-8 junior guard shot well, 8-for-12 from the field, 4-for-7 from 3, and 7-for-11 at the foul line. She had seven rebounds and three steals in 35 minutes of action.

Columbia International hosts Voorhees on Tuesday.
