SALISBURY — Rose of Sharon Holiness Church, 255 Camp Road, Salisbury, will be celebrating its 100th anniversary with a special service on Nov. 10 beginning at 3 p.m.
The celebration will feature guest speaker the Rev. John Jones from United Baptist Church, Kannapolis.
This anniversary will represent a time for the church to reflect on its rich history, celebrate their achievements and look forward to future endeavors that will continue to impact lives, said Lady Tosha Roseman Maxwell on behalf of the church.
This special event will also provide an opportunity for the church to highlight the various contributions to the community.
Maxwell said that the “church has been a cornerstone of faith, hope and support in Salisbury for a century,” and that they have “witnessed countless moments of joy, resilience and unity” among both their members and in the community.
Chavis Maxwell serves as pastor of the local congregation, and he and the congregation are extending an invitation to the community as well as past members of the congregation to help them celebrate this milestone anniversary.
