Rowan Chamber November Power in Partnership breakfast to focus on artificial intelligence

SALISBURY — The Rowan Chamber of Commerce has announced that Dr. Zack Hubbard, chief information officer at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College, will be the featured speaker at the Power in Partnership (PIP) breakfast on Nov. 21, at 7:30 a.m.

This networking event, held at Trinity Oaks, will focus on the timely topic of artificial intelligence (AI).

Rowan-Cabarrus Community College is the sponsor for the November PIP.

Hubbard has more than 14 years of experience in higher education. Throughout his career, he has held diverse roles including faculty member, program chair and dean in information-technology-related disciplines. His expertise spans a range of IT fields, with a particular focus on cybersecurity and its applications in manufacturing. Hubbard is committed to leveraging his leadership and technical knowledge to drive innovation and enhance the college’s technological infrastructure while also advancing cybersecurity education and practices in the region.

The Power in Partnership breakfast series offers attendees a unique opportunity to enjoy a breakfast while engaging in networking, learning from industry leaders and discussing the latest trends and challenges facing the community. The 2024-25 PIP season will feature top North Carolina elected officials and business leaders.

The upcoming PIP dates: Dec. 19; Jan. 16, 2025; Feb. 20, 2025; March 20, 2025; April 17, 2025; and May 15, 2025.

The chamber invites all to attend the breakfast. If you are not a Power Card holder, register by Tuesday, Nov. 19, at 5 p.m. The cost is $25 for chamber members and $50 for non-members, which includes breakfast and the program.
