Rug & Home is calling on community members to join a special blanket drive to help those affected by Hurricane Helene. From Nov. 11-17, Rug & Home locations across Kannapolis; Asheville; Gaffney, South Carolina; Pineville; and Raleigh, will be collecting new blankets and sleeping bags. All items gathered will be distributed in partnership with Hearts with Hands in Swannanoa, along with other local organizations, to reach families and individuals in need as winter approaches.

As temperatures drop, these donations will provide immediate warmth and comfort to hurricane victims who are facing the daunting task of rebuilding their lives. This drive is part of Rug & Home’s ongoing mission to serve communities in times of need, offering a straightforward way for neighbors to support one another.

“This is a chance for us all to lend a hand to those going through an incredibly difficult time,” said Rakesh Agarwal, Owner of Rug & Home. “We invite everyone to drop by any of our stores with new blankets or sleeping bags to help bring warmth to those who need it most this season.”

Donation drop-off locations and hours

From Nov. 11-17, donations of new blankets and sleeping bags can be dropped off during regular store hours at any Rug & Home location:

• Gaffney — 4 Factory Shops Blvd, Gaffney, S.C.
• Pineville — 11701 Carolina Place Parkway, Pineville
• Raleigh — 10200 Little Brier Creek Lane, Raleigh

Additional support through the Rug & Home Foundation

For those who wish to provide additional support, Rug & Home is also collecting monetary donations through the Rug & Home Foundation to address a broad range of urgent needs in affected communities. The foundation, which has contributed nearly $1.2 million to local communities over the past 25 years, will ensure all funds directly aid in areas of greatest need.
