Jacob Causey, 20, was killed in a car crash at the intersection of Shuping Mill and Old Beatty Ford Roads about 11:28 p.m. Nov. 8.

Causey was an  East Rowan High School graduate and a part of the baseball team there. A GoFundMe has been started to help with funeral expenses.

“Over the course of his life, he touched many lives with his caring and fun personality,” the GoFundMe states. “We never plan to have to bury our own children, and we want to help take the burden off the family during this tragic time.”

More than $7,000 had been donated toward the $10,000 goal as of Friday afternoon.
