This year, F&M Bank is honored to have its own Chairman and CEO, Steve Fisher, and the entire Paul Fisher family, selected as grand marshals for Salisbury’s beloved ‘Tis the Season Spectacular Parade. Joining Steve in this special role are his wife, Robin; his mother, Sue Fisher; his sister, Paula Philpot, and her husband, Irv; along with Sue Fisher’s 10 grandchildren and four-and-a-half great-grandchildren. Together, they represent a tradition of community service and family dedication.

Sue Fisher has been a cornerstone of community involvement in Rowan County for many decades, working alongside her late husband, Paul Fisher, in volunteering their time to improve the lives of those in the community. Paul, who served F&M Bank for over 60 years, loved helping people fulfill their dreams and gave them hope for a better tomorrow. He saw community banking as an opportunity to improve the quality of life for all his clients and the communities he served. Since his passing in 2020, Sue has continued his legacy, embodying the values of service, dedication and giving back.

Steve Fisher, the third-generation leader of F&M Bank, follows in his father’s footsteps, guiding the bank with the same commitment to community. A proud Rowan County native, Steve serves in various leadership roles across both Rowan and Cabarrus counties. He and Robin, his wife of many years, are passionate about contributing to the areas they call home. Together with his sister, Paula, and her husband, Irv, who reside in Greenville, South Carolina, they continue to honor the values instilled by their parents.
