Shape the future of Rowan County Young Pros: Apply now for the org’s executive committee

SALISBURY — Are you ready to lead, make an impact and help shape the future of Rowan County? The Rowan County Young Professionals (RCYP), a program of the Rowan Chamber, is calling on passionate, motivated young professionals to apply for open positions on its executive committee.
This is an exciting opportunity to step into a leadership role that directly influences professional development and community engagement in Rowan County. Applications are now open for key committee positions, including vice chair, treasurer, secretary and other committee leadership roles. Terms begin January 2025, and the application deadline is Dec. 1.
RCYP Executive Committee members are young professionals ages 21-45 who live or work in Rowan County and are change makers who are passionate about collaborating to make Rowan County a vibrant place for young professionals to live, work and thrive. With a focus on networking and professional growth, serving on the RCYP Executive Committee is an opportunity for local young professionals to maximize their talents and vision to help steer RCYP’s future and drive initiatives that matter.
“We’re thrilled to open applications for our next group of leaders,” said Mollie Ruf, current chair of RCYP. “This is a chance for our members to step up, bring fresh ideas and strengthen our community connections. I’m excited to see the impact our future leaders will make.”
Nicky Black, current vice chair and incoming 2025 chair, highlighted the value of this opportunity.
“Serving on the executive committee has been a unique and fun way to grow professionally and make a real difference in Rowan County,” Black said. “If you’re looking for a way to give back while advancing your own career and making friends, this is the perfect chance to get involved.”
Elaine Spalding, president of the Rowan County Chamber of Commerce, underscored the significance of this leadership program.
