SALISBURY — For years, The Reach Church has provided a free Thanksgiving meal to the community, and this year will be no different.
The church, located at 722 W. Horah St., Salisbury, is reaching out not only with a meal on Nov. 23, but is using this special holiday tradition as a ministry opportunity as well, noted Victoria Connor, who is serving as the event organizer.
This will be the 15th year that the church has provided the meal, which will be served at the church from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Those attending the event may come inside to eat if they wish, said Connor.
A traditional Thanksgiving meal, prepared by the members of the church, will be served. It will include turkey and ham, dressing, green beans, potato salad, macaroni and cheese, yams, bread and a variety of desserts.
