SALISBURY — Livingstone’s women’s basketball beat King 66-62 at Trent Gym on Saturday for its first win of the season.

Thalia Carter led the Blue Bears with 19 points and nine rebounds. Bria Griffith scored 15. Boston Bates score d11.

Morgan Kelson was able to return to action, played heavy minutes and helped out with eight points and seven rebounds.

The Blue Bears (1-4) overwhelmed King 31-12 in the second quarter to take a 40-24 halftime lead and were able to hold on.
