LANDIS — Jaiden and Rylee Wells of Landis are once again setting up their lemonade stand to help others in need.
On Dec. 1 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., Luxury Lemons will serve as the host of a special Christmas event with all donations going to provide gifts for the children in western North Carolina.
Christmas in the Burg will be held at Physicians Blvd., Harrisburg and will feature free Santa pictures by D Stroud Photography, a kids’ area, raffles, vendors and food trucks.
From 2-3 p.m., Queen City Female Artist of the Year Bailey Marie Griggs, will be performing.
When asked about continuing their annual event to help others, Jaiden and Rylee said in an email that they have “always been committed to paying it forward. We believe in the power of kindness and generosity. It’s sad to see kids who have lost their toys, but it’s up to us to make a difference and bring some happiness into their lives this Christmas season. Our mother has always taught us to give back when you can. Any amount, anything, even a hug can brighten someone’s day. You never know what people are going through or how they are feeling. Look us up on Facebook and see how you can make a difference.”
Amber Wells said that “as their mother, it’s incredibly heartening to witness the compassion and empathy these two young sisters consistently show towards others. Their selflessness fills me with immense pride.”
Those wishing to help and partner with them as an event sponsor can email them at luxurylemons1@gmail.com.
