College men’s basketball: West grad Givens heats up for Johnson & Wales

LYNCHBURG, Va. — Will Givens Jr. (West Rowan) scored 21 points in 15 minutes off the bench on Saturday for Johnson & Wales.

Givens had a deadly shooting night, 7-for-8 from the field, with three 3-pointers, and was 4-for-4 on free throws.

Johnson & Wales (0-4) lost to Randolph College 93-86 despite Givens’ hot hand.

Cole Perry (Carson) is a starter for Randolph College. He did not have one of his better games and scored only three points in 29 minutes. Perry averages 5.0 points and 4.4 rebounds.

WHEELING, W. Va. — Tee Harris (East Rowan) had four points and seven rebounds in Wheeling’s 89-83 win against California (Pa.) on Sunday.
