Christmas on the Homefront at Price of Freedom Museum on Sunday

Published 12:00 am Thursday, December 5, 2024

The Price of Freedom Museum will celebrate its annual Christmas on the Homefront from 3-5 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 8. Live Christmas music will be featured in the old school auditorium with Carolina Homestead, a prominent N.C.-based bluegrass and gospel band. Known for its soulful renditions of the traditional bluegrass gospel tunes, the band decided in 2012 to dedicate their music solely to the Lord Jesus Christ. If you’re a fan of heartfelt, soul-stirring gospel music, make sure to catch the band at the museum.

Other highlights at the museum for Christmas on the Homefront are the World War II-era, three-room house adorned in period decorations. There will be free holiday refreshments including cider and homemade cookies. Additionally, all displays will be open, and the new Hall of Honor art display will be showcased.

Drop by to listen to great music, remember Christmas from the past and to honor the price of our freedom. Admission and parking are free, while donations are greatly appreciated. The museum is at 2420 Weaver Road, China Grove. Go to priceoffreedom.us or call 704-202-3301 for more information.
