SALISBURY — Each month, The Forum of Salisbury honors one classified and one licensed employee as “The Forum of Salisbury Employees of the Month” for the Rowan-Salisbury School System.
These staff members are nominated by students and parents, and the winners receive $250, a six-month membership to The Forum, and a 5-class pass for SoFul Yoga and Wellness at Railwalk.
Certified Staff Member of the Month:
Carly Moore, math teacher at Jesse C. Carson High School was named the certified staff member of the month.
Moore was nominated by a student who wrote: “I have been going through a lot at home and I haven’t been my best mentally and she never failed to check up on me and make sure I’m OK. She makes sure everyone understands the assignment and offers more help if needed. She’s been the reason why I look forward to going to school every day. I’ve had her since freshman year and I am now a senior and she has helped me in all my classes, not just math. She always makes sure I have what I need.”
Classified Staff Member of the Month:
Miranda Miller, a teacher assistant and bus driver at West Rowan Elementary, is the classified employee of the month.
A parent of one of Miller’s bus students wrote: “Ms. Miller is an outstanding bus driver. She goes above and beyond to communicate with parents. She keeps us updated on the safety, schedules and bus expectations for students. Despite having mechanical issues and learning new routes during the school year, she has remained positive and resilient. I am very thankful for her dedication to driving our students and keeping them safe while transporting! Thank you to our bus #22 morning driver!”
