SALISBURY — Catawba women’s basketball coach Terence McCutcheon logged his 100th win on Saturday without breaking a sweat. He’s 100-29.

Catawba pounded Emory & Henry, probably the weakest South Atlantic Conference team, 79-67, at Goodman Arena for the milestone victory. The Indians blew out the Wasps (3-7, 0-6) in front of 307 fans with a 15-0 run in the third quarter and were able to coast after that.

The stat that jumped off the sheet for Catawba was 11 made 3-pointers. The rebounding and turnover numbers were pretty even by the end, but Catawba got more shots and better shots and made 44 percent from the field to 36 percent for the visitors.

Bailee Goodlett, a freshman from North Rowan, had a terrific game for the Indians with 15 points on 6-for-8 shooting and added five assists and six rebounds.

Nala Baker scored 13 for the Indians (6-3, 4-2). Abi Svenson made three 3-pointers and scored 11. Natalie Fuertes Lara challenged the school record books with a nine-steal outing.
