Staff report

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. — There are no bad road wins in the South Atlantic Conference, and Catawba’s men’s basketball gladly will take Wednesday’s 76-68 win at Tusculum.

The Indians (6-4, 4-3) have been better, but they survived 15 turnovers — Catawba had a rare loss in the turnover battle — by holding Tusculum to a 38.5 percent shooting night.

Bryce Jackson scored 26 for the Pioneers (3-7, 3-3), but no one else was finding the range for the home team, especially during Tusculum’s 22-point first half.

Catawba shot 47 percent for the game and got 19 points from Nick Walker and three 3-pointers from Kris Robinson. Solomon Tucker’s 10 points on 5-for-5 shooting were helpful. Caleb Jones had eight rebounds.

Catawba is at home on Saturday against Carson-Newman.
