Fame Preservation Group, Inc. will be hosting its third annual Christmas Candlelight Ceremony on Saturday, Dec. 21, at 6 p.m. within historic Old Lutheran Cemetery in Salisbury where members will be decorating the Confederate graves in front of the Fame Confederate Monument with white bags and tea lights illuminating in the night as they speak for the service.

Volunteering to stage the bags begins at 1 p.m. and professional photo shoots by D. Stroud Photography begin at 4 p.m. leading up to the service.

It will be a public event and the organization has been granted permission from the city of Salisbury and the Salisbury Police Department to host the service after nightfall despite the no trespassing after dark ordinance posted at each cemetery entrance.

Old Lutheran Cemetery is located at 515 North Lee Street, and 205 East Franklin Street in Salisbury.
